We sculpt from plasticine with a child. How to sculpt from plasticine with your child Children's modeling from plasticine for kids

Very often, parents are wary of such material for creativity as plasticine. And all because it can stick to the floor and furniture, leave greasy marks, or the young sculptor manages to just swallow it.

At first, adults explain their negative attitude towards plastic material young age their children and their gastronomic interest in everything around, and even more so colored and soft, and then they refer to other interests, arguing that such fun is for kids. If you agree with this opinion, then you yourself have probably become a victim of the older generation and you have not been taught to love plasticine. Let yourself break away from the routine of everyday affairs for a few minutes and learn the magic and magic of plasticine modeling with your own child.

Modeling from plasticine for children: a rainbow of positive

Believe me, you can give a little man a whole kaleidoscope of positive emotions that neither applique nor pencils can replace. Unfortunately, mothers and fathers forget that the joys of creativity and the safety of the baby depend on their ability to teach, explain, and interest.

Plasticine is a truly unique material. Remember how the baby wants to knead and smear something, and food comes to the rescue. Your prohibitions and indignation on this occasion are absolutely understandable. Try to offer him plasticine. Of course, after having a conversation with him and feeding him tightly. There will be no limit to delight.

Plasticine develops perseverance. Follow the hands of the clock while the young sculptor creates with soft colored blocks. The active work of the joints and muscles of the hands enhances blood circulation, replacing professional massage and stimulating development. Brain activity is activated, coordination and speech develop. Imagination and fantasy are connected, form perception appears, attention to detail and, most importantly, independence.

Choosing the right plasticine for children's crafts

Modern manufacturers offer a huge range of plasticine from the usual solid blocks to small balls in the adhesive mass. It is impossible to answer unequivocally which material to choose. It all depends on the age of the creator and the purpose of the purchase.

Good plasticine for modeling with children is characterized by elasticity and pliability. It rolls easily with your hands and on any surface. Plasticine product should not fall apart into its component parts. The material should not crumble even after hardening and quickly restore its original properties. Under the influence of heat, the mass melts, leaving greasy stains that are easily washed off with soap and water. The composition of ordinary plasticine includes clay powder, dye and substances that prevent the mass from drying out (fat, wax, ceresin, etc.)

Pay attention to the manufacturer, domestic kits for creativity are much cheaper than imported counterparts that do not differ in characteristics. However, imported plasticine has more saturated and varied shades, and sometimes pleasant aromas.

Plasticine should not contain synthetic and harmful additives in its composition, crumble, dry out and leave stains that are difficult to wash off on hands.

The properties of the material and the age of the child play an important role. So, the baby does not need sculptural or hardening plasticine, he will not cope with it, but he will appreciate the bright, odorless material that does not stick to the floor and hands.

For drawing with plasticine, softer samples should be preferred. The hardening and sculptural material is suitable for older children, it will allow not only to show imagination and skill, but also to preserve their creation. The luminescent, brilliant and color-changing material will surely captivate any sculptor and inspire him to new achievements.

Plasticine for the little ones

Already at the age of one and a half, a baby can be offered a magical substance called plasticine (before that, it is better to use it for modeling with a child). But the main thing is to teach him from the very beginning to work with him in a certain place, at the table. Mom doesn’t want to collect crushed pieces all over the house.

Start with color. Which one will he like better? Let it be crushed, rolled out. Sausages, balls, cakes can later turn into a caterpillar, snail, pyramid, well, fungus. A pair of eyes and a smile will turn an ordinary plasticine ball into a character from a fairy-tale land. Several of these heroes - and you can teach the crumbs to build a dialogue correctly and answer the questions posed. Kids love to leave prints on plasticine with their fingers or some figures, caps, spoons, pencils.

So, we sculpt from plasticine with young children. Roll up a plump sausage and decorate it with seeds or rice and the funny hedgehog is ready to work collecting colorful mushrooms. Revitalize a dry branch by making leaves and flowers for it.

Learn geometry from plasticine figures, explain to your child their properties. For example, the ball can roll, and the cube has edges, so it is stable, the cone has a prickly nose and a circle at the base - it looks like a Christmas tree. Once your child is familiar with the shapes, periodically ask him or her to point to a cube or ball. The most important thing is a competent approach, and you will form a stable platform for starting into the difficult world of geometry. Sculpt animals from plasticine and tell the baby that the bird has a beak, paws and feathers, and the tiger has a mouth, paws and claws.

Separately, it is worth talking about ball plasticine. This is a unique developmental material. In addition to plastic properties, it is pleasant to the touch, small balls allow the child to feel the shape, it is light and does not stick to hands at all. The hardening material will allow you to save the first crafts of the baby as a keepsake. An adult can make a frame of some kind of foil or paper sculpture, and a kid will stick it with plasticine. Work out small details together.

Children at this age absorb information like sponges, and if at first glance it seems to you that the child is not interested and he does not remember anything, you are mistaken. He leaves everything he hears somewhere in the subconscious and, if necessary, he will definitely apply it, even after a long time.

It will be difficult, but when sculpting with plasticine with children, try to follow one of the most important rules - give the young sculptor complete freedom. Do not rush to fix unsightly sculptures. Praise the creator, inspire and unobtrusively suggest.

We sculpt from plasticine with children of preschool and primary school age

The most talented imaginators and plasticine masters are revealed at the age of 3 to 7 years. It was at this time that the crumbs have the richest imagination, which is not yet limited by the framework of school and adult life. They quickly turn all their impressions into plasticine sculptures. While an adult is thinking about what can be made from plasticine, looking at a palette of plasticine blocks, a young sculptor creates with lightning speed what it was difficult for an adult to imagine. And here the main thing is to talk to the sculptor. Let him talk about what he made. This will help teach your child to express thoughts correctly, increase vocabulary and allow you to feel your genuine interest in his work.

Ideas for modeling from plasticine for children

So, we sculpt from plasticine with preschool children. Try to mold the characters of his favorite cartoon by placing an image in front of you and notice how the child begins to notice little things that he would not have paid attention to before.

Absolutely everything: both girls and boys, are in awe of castles. Buy hard plasticine, a larger hardboard and build a palace together with all the retinue, outbuildings, weapons, animals, prince and princess.

Of course, modeling clay is a little more expensive than regular clay, and a large-scale project may not be cheap, but the game is worth the capital spent. Do not immediately buy a large batch of plasticine, a couple of sets per month are enough. The main thing is to set the child up for attention to detail. Do not build walls from “pancakes”, fold them brick by brick, sculpt people in proportion, paying attention to the structural features of the body of representatives of different sexes, dress them in exquisite clothes. By the way, they can be sewn from fabric, this will inspire the prospector even more. After the construction is completed, do not lose interest in the craft: shoot a short film, at least on your phone. This can be imagined as work for a now fashionable portfolio for school or kindergarten.

Hardening plasticine will be appreciated by older children. They will not be able to resist the opportunity to make key chains, jewelry, pencil holders and other little things.

Plasticine drawing

Who said that plasticine can only be sculpted? It's a great paint replacement. Pictures from it are obtained as if alive, and the process of creation gives young artists a lot of pleasure.

Plasticine does not flow like watercolor, does not leave uneven strokes like pencils, crayons and felt-tip pens, and you need to draw with your finger, feeling the picture. Draw an image on a sheet of cardboard and fill it with plasticine, teach the artist to mix several shades, for example, grass combines several shades of green, yellow, orange, brown. Plasticine in this regard is a very grateful material, it seems to feel the desire of the artist and mixes perfectly.

In addition, in a plasticine picture, the image is transmitted not only through color, but also through form. Bulges, depressions, stripes, drawn with special tools, seem to breathe life into the picture.

A slightly different drawing with plasticine on glass, here special attention should be paid to the mirror effect. That is, what is in the foreground is fashioned first, and so on layer by layer. It remains only to add a velvet colored background - and the masterpiece will not yield to the presentability of an oil painting.

How and where to store children's plasticine crafts?

The property of plasticine to melt makes it unreliable for long-term storage. For organizing an exhibition, the coolest place, which is not exposed to direct sunlight, or glass, which will protect the work from dust, is best suited.

Whether it's paintings or just crafts, to give them temporary durability, you can cover the work with varnish, but only intended for ceramics, which can be bought in specialized stores. Food film will replace glass for decorating plasticine paintings.

Demonstration stands are often made out in schools and kindergartens. The plot works look brighter and more colorful, if the children are not yet independent enough to play a plasticine action, then adults will have to make a background and place the works of young masters on it as characters. By the way, the background may not necessarily be made of plasticine, it can be drawn or made from improvised and natural materials.

I really want to ask adults again not to impoverish the fairy-tale world of childhood and give the child a box of plasticine, because, unlike other toys, it does not get bored, it is different every day, one bar can transform more than a dozen times. And ask moms to keep the brightest children's plasticine crafts. There will not be so many of them and a cardboard box located under the bed will suffice. After a short time, you and your already adult son or daughter will look into this magic chest and remember the funny or sad moments. The child will definitely appreciate his mother's attention. Create and have fun with plasticine modeling with children.

One of the most effective activities for the development of fine motor skills is modeling. According to experts, sculpting should begin as early as possible. In this article, I will present our favorite exercises.

When reading materials about how interesting modeling is for children, do not forget that most children at the age of 1 year are conservatives and love the established order. They have only recently come to terms with the idea that all toys are soft or hard. Plasticine is a completely new consistency for the baby, which threatens the existence of everything familiar. At least go and re-check all the items, suddenly one of them is in consistency, like plasticine.

In addition, any creative activity requires not only the formation of a skill, but also the enjoyment of the result. This requires awareness of the results and their capabilities, which is very weak in the second year of life. Therefore, if you decide to do modeling with a baby under two years old, do not expect much jubilation and joy.

The simplest element - “sticks” (cylinders) is mastered by most children in the third year of life. Some cope with the cylinder only in three years. After mastering the cylinders, you can take on the balls.

The book "Plasticine beads" contains 8 pages of exercises for gluing balls. A one-year-old kid will do just fine with them. For a two-year-old, you can complicate the tasks by offering ordinary plasticine. It is more elastic and modeling with it will be more useful for the development of finger motor skills. One of the best is the classic plasticine produced by Luch (Chemical Plant).

In "Plasticine Oranges" there are 8 pages of exercises for creating all kinds of balls:

Happy sculpting!

At this age, children are already good at rolling koloboks and sausages, pinching off, smearing and flattening plasticine. However, plasticine crafts with many small details, which can be found in popular children's modeling books, are not yet possible for them: as a rule, they lack neither patience nor motor skills. In this article, you will find modeling ideas that a 2-3 year old child can handle with minimal help from mom. After all, independence in creativity is extremely important for a child! Try to keep this in mind when working with your child.

Classes during which the mother does most of the work for the child do not contribute to creative development. Let the koloboks be crooked, and the eyes not at all in the place where you would like them to be. Do not demand ideal forms from the child, achieving a strong resemblance to real objects . If it is very difficult for the baby to cope with the task, it is better to simplify it (By the way, you can find ideas for simpler plasticine crafts for children in the article " Modeling for children 1-2 years old »).

It seems to me, perfect option classes, this is when everyone sculpts their craft: for example, the mother of her snowman, the child of her own, while the mother comments on her actions, and the baby is guided by what the mother is doing. In our experience, closer to 3 years, this becomes possible. But the smallest creators often do not have enough finger strength to cope with plasticine, so, of course, sometimes you need help, but you should always strive for independence in creativity.

Do not be embarrassed that the crafts in the photographs in this article are even and neat and do not look like children at all, most of them I specially blinded for this article, because. what we sculpted with my daughter, basically did not survive. After all, having molded some figure, Tasya immediately includes it in her game. And not all Tasya crafts would make it clear to readers what was originally conceived

So, ideas for modeling with children 2-3 years old (or rather, this is only half of the ideas, here is the continuation).

Sculpt treats for toys

You can start the lesson with something like this scene: the bear came to visit the hare, they were going to drink tea, but there was nothing to drink it with. The kid will have to help the toys and make treats for them. You should not sculpt more than 1-2 types of treats at a time, otherwise the child will get tired of the protracted lesson.

  • Bagel and pretzel . First we roll the sausage. To make a bagel, we connect the ends of the sausage with each other, in the case of a pretzel, we slightly cross the ends.
  • Candies . We roll out a small plasticine sausage, attach small balls along the edges.
  • Pie . First we roll a large bun, then we flatten it. We fold the resulting cake in half, pinch the edges.
  • Eggs on a plate . We roll a large bun, flatten it, level it with our fingers - we get a plate. Then we roll small koloboks and put them on a plate - these are testicles.

  • Apples . We roll koloboks, make small indentations in them with a finger. Then we attach small cakes-leaves to the recesses.

  • mushrooms . We roll a bun and flatten it - this is a mushroom cap, we roll a column - this is a leg. Mushrooms can be put in a basket, "gather in the forest."

Candies with candy wrappers . We roll small sausages or balls, and then wrap them in prepared pieces of colored paper or foil, like in a candy wrapper. Most likely, you will have to help the baby wrap the candy, because. this task is not easy. Just be careful so that the baby does not eat such a candy, it painfully looks like a real one!

  • Pie / cake / pizza . First, we sculpt a large bun and flatten it into a not too thin cake - we get the basis for a cake or pizza, as you like. Then we decorate with everything that is at hand: beans, pasta, peas, buckwheat or any other cereal.

Crafts based on "koloboks"

  • Snowman . We roll three koloboks, which we then carefully glue together. We make eyes, a mouth with a stack. The nose can be made into a stack, or you can mold a carrot nose with your mother's help.
  • Tumbler . We roll two balls and stick them together. Separately, we roll two small buns and attach them to the sides as hands.

  • Caterpillar . We roll small balls - as many pieces as there is enough patience. In my opinion, it is best to sculpt a caterpillar together: a baby blinds a few balls, a few - a mother, and then combine everything together. We make the face with a stack. Attach horns if desired.

  • Christmas tree . I mentioned this craft earlier in the article " new year advent calendar". For crafts, you need a cone, it will be the tree. Toys on our Christmas tree will be small plasticine balls, or just pieces of plucked plasticine. At the end of the lesson, mom fixes the Christmas tree on a plasticine base so that everyone can admire it on the eve of the holiday.

  • Kolobok . Kolobok kid, of course, rolled more than once. This time, invite him to make all the small details from improvised means. For example, our kolobok has eyes and a nose made of peas, legs are made of beans, and a hat is made of buttons.

Crafts based on "sausages"

  • Fence for a house . First, we roll multi-colored plasticine sausages, and then we stick them one to the other near the drawn or any other house. In the photo, my daughter and I were “attaching” a fence to the house, which the day before had been glued together from multi-colored and patterned blocks.

  • Airplane . We roll two sausages and lay them crosswise. If you wish, for a greater resemblance, you can also attach another small sausage to the tail of the aircraft.

  • Hut for a bunny. This craft can be done immediately after reading the fairy tale "Zayushkina hut » ( Ozone , labyrinth , My shop ). In advance, draw a bunny, a forest, and maybe other heroes of a fairy tale, explain that for some reason there is no hut in your drawing, and offer to mold it from logs. The logs will be plasticine sausages. On top of the resulting log house, put a window - a cake. A triangular roof can be made from an ordinary cake by pulling the corners with your finger.

  • Pyramid . First, we make the base for the pyramid (flat cake). We attach a column to it in the middle. Next, we roll a few rings together. So that the child does not get bored with the lesson, you can sculpt rings together: 2-3 rings - the child, 2-3 rings - the mother. When all the rings are ready, lay them out on a modeling board and determine in what order to string them on the pin.

· Whale . To make a whale, first we roll a large bun, then on one side we pull out the tail with a pinch, on the other hand we cut the mouth with a stack. Eyes can be made from small plasticine balls, or simply by making small dots in a stack. A wonderful fountain will turn out from a cocktail tube. Prepare in advance and make several cuts with scissors on a piece of tube.

  • Snail . To begin with, we roll out a long sausage, we try to roll it as long as possible. Then, together with the baby, we twist the sausage with a spiral - the snail is ready! You can also attach small horns.

  • horse . Here you should get something like a Dymkovo toy. In the photo, it seems to me that the craft came out not very beautiful, but this is the easiest version of the horse. So, first we make a plump column and bend it into an arc. Then we roll a small bun, it will be the head, so we attach it to the appropriate place. Next, draw out the tail and mane with your fingers. If desired, we make strips on them in a stack for greater similarity. And of course, eyes, mouth, nostrils.

  • Hedgehog from a cone . Again, first of all, roll out the bun. We attach it to the bump and stretch the plasticine with our fingers, trying to fix the hedgehog's head on the bump. Hold the baby's bump so that it is more convenient for him to smear the plasticine. Then with a pinch we form a muzzle, from the balls we make a nose, eyes. You can also attach a few apple balls to the hedgehog's needles.

  • mouse . First, we roll a rounded body and separately a tail - a very small sausage. In the place where the head is supposed to be, we pull out the nose and ears with tweezers. A small black ball can be attached to the tip of the spout. Well, on the opposite side we attach the tail.
  • Bunny. Here the child is again required to roll only koloboks and sausages.

  • Goose . We roll a large rounded body, stretch the neck out of it with our fingers, preferably longer, bend it a little - it turns out the head. We make eyes with a stack. Pull out the ponytail at the back. At the bottom we attach two small cakes - these are paws.

  • birdie . We make the head of the bird from a ball, and the body from a small column. Pliers form the tail and beak. We make eyes with a stack. At your next modeling lesson, you can mold a nest for a bird. To do this, you will need to roll up as many long thin sausages as possible. And, laying the "twigs" crosswise, make a nest. At the edges of the branches must be pinched.

  • Snow Maiden . For this New Year's craft, you will need to prepare a cardboard cone in advance - this will be the Snow Maiden's fur coat. Further, in order for the cone to turn into a snow maiden, we add together with the baby all the necessary details from plasticine. We make an edge from a long sausage on a fur coat, attach buttons, pens, a hat. You can also add a scarf, pigtail and other details that you have enough imagination and patience for.

  • Little man.

  • Furniture . It is very simple and interesting to sculpt furniture from plasticine - it can immediately be used in a small plot game. All elements of plasticine furniture are very light in execution - for the most part, these are just flattened columns and koloboks, i.e. something that a 2-3 year old child has already mastered well. The inhabitants of your plasticine room can be both small plastic toys and previously molded plasticine men.

In general, I love plasticine for the fact that almost everything can be molded from it. If something is missing for the game, clay always comes to the rescue. Not enough doll dishes - please, an airplane - no question. Everything that the child is currently interested in, whether it be dinosaurs or horses, can be easily molded, albeit in a simplified form. And don't be afraid that it won't look the same. No matter how much we sculpted crooked and slanting horses, swimming goggles and other toys, they were always very dear to Taisiya, and it was much more interesting for her to play with them than with real toys. It is very important to always demonstrate to the child that you can make anything out of anything. So the baby develops imagination, a creative approach to solving problems.

Well, in the photo there are plasticine swimming goggles molded for Chupa the monkey during our great love for the pool and swimming goggles in particular.

On this I apologize. See you on the blog pages!

Not so long ago, I already published an article on how you can organize the first classes on. In the article, I talked mainly about educational games with dough that will help the baby learn to pinch off, cut the dough, leave prints on it, and in general a lot of interesting things to do with it :) Today I would like to continue the topic of modeling, but dwell a little more on modeling is no longer from dough, but from plasticine, and bring to your attention options for the very first plasticine crafts with a baby.

Modeling classes are known to be extremely useful for kids. Even during such seemingly uncomplicated actions as rolling out a kolobok, sausages, the imagination and creative thinking of the baby develops. The child learns to perceive three-dimensional images, and at the same time trains fine motor skills, which has a very beneficial effect on the development of speech, on preparing the hand for writing. In other words, modeling in general has a very beneficial effect on the intellectual and emotional development of the child, so it is very desirable to include it in regular activities with the baby.

It often seems to mothers that it is too early to sculpt with a one-year-old baby, because. the child is more likely to want to taste the plasticine. However, even if the child makes attempts to taste it, do not immediately abandon your art lessons! Try to show your child what plasticine is capable of, show how many unusual things can be made from it. Even if the child stubbornly continues to “try” the mass for modeling, then at first sculpt from. Firstly, nothing terrible will happen if the baby tries it, since it is absolutely natural, and secondly, after several tastings, the child will most likely refuse this activity, because. the dough is very salty.

All crafts in this article can be made from both plasticine and dough (store-bought, Play Doh, or homemade). The only thing worth noting is that when you stick to paper, plasticine will stick to paper much better than dough. If you still work with plasticine, then choose the softest plasticine for classes so that the baby is not disappointed after his first attempts to sculpt.

Always remember that creative activities should last no more than 5-10 minutes. Do not hold or force the child to sculpt with plasticine if he does not want to or is naughty. Even slight pressure on the baby will lead to the fact that he will eventually lose all interest in creativity. Therefore, if the child refuses to sculpt, just offer him this activity after some time (in a day, a week, or maybe a month), the main thing is not to force it!

How to start modeling classes with a child 1-2 years old

Naturally, it is not necessary to sculpt complex crafts in the very first lessons. Now our task is to master the basic and simplest skills of working with plasticine. So, what is the first thing you need to teach your baby:

  • Pinch off a piece plasticine thumb and forefinger
  • knead plasticine in the palm
  • "flatten" index finger small plasticine balls. At first, mom makes balls for the baby, then we gradually learn to roll balls together.
  • Roll a bun between two palms. It is preferable to use both hands (rather than rolling the bun on the table), since in this case both palms are massaged, which is twice as useful for the baby's motor skills. If it is difficult to roll a ball with two palms, at first you can learn to roll a bun on your mother's palm. Give the resulting ball different images, so your simple manipulations with plasticine will make sense. For example, by adding a leaf to the ball, you can turn it into an apple, and with the help of a match or a toothpick it is easy to make a real kolobok that has run away from grandma and grandpa!
  • roll sausage between two palms. An ordinary plasticine sausage can easily become a cucumber for a hungry Masha doll or a worm, which then crawls along the baby’s handle.

Well, now various options for plasticine crafts that can be created even with a one-year-old toddler.

The simplest plasticine crafts

For all crafts, you will need to draw or print a picture template in advance. I added the ability to download the simplest b/w templates to the article. If you wish, you can pre-color them, or if you have a color printer, find more interesting color analogues of the templates. I think the kid will like any option, even black and white.

When creating crafts, try to have the kid pinch off each piece of plasticine himself, and also, if possible, roll it into a ball.

  • Ladybug

  • Grains for chicken

  • Snowflakes

  • Watermelon with pits

  • Spots on fly agaric

  • tree with leaves

Crafts from plasticine with the arrangement of elements in specific places

  • beads

  • Rungs for stairs . Invite the child to help the girl climb the palm tree for coconuts - there is no way to do without a ladder. -

  • Train wheels

  • flower

  • Zebra stripes

  • Plasticine hide and seek . We hide the bun from the fox -

You can also use ready-made manuals in your classes. This is very convenient, because absolutely does not require additional preparation before class. Here are the tools we used:

  • (Ozone, labyrinth, My shop)

  • (Ozone, My shop)

We all sculpted from plasticine. Some with pleasure, others - because that's what my mother and teacher wanted. In our time, plasticine was hard, the color palette was the same, and it was considered a crime to heat it up on a battery.

Today, plasticine is so diverse that even a kid of 2 or 3 years old can sculpt from it, for him it will become an exciting fun and educational game. Is this activity useful, how to captivate a baby with it, what can be sculpted from plasticine with children of 1, 2 and 3 years old, which templates to choose, how to organize a place for classes - we will now figure it out.

The benefits of plasticine modeling for children

Many young mothers have heard about the benefits of playing with plasticine. Here's how they're useful:

  • The development of fine motor skills. The center of fine motor skills in the cerebral cortex is located next to the center of speech. By stimulating the first with modeling, you develop the second. Children who have stuck to their heart's content before the age of 5 never get an appointment with a speech therapist.
  • Development of tactile sensitivity. Plasticine has its own texture, which can be easily changed. The kid will learn to recreate the sensations of the texture of different objects.
  • The development of mindfulness. The baby will sculpt what you show him in the picture or do it yourself. Starting with simple things like a ball, you can move on to more complex ones. The kid will convey the shape and texture of the sample object, attention to detail will appear.
  • perseverance. During the period of active growth, it is difficult to seat the child for 5-10 minutes, he wants to move. However, changing the shape of plasticine will easily take him for this time and instill in the baby the concept of perseverance.

  • Diligence. Kneading plasticine, the baby gets used to the fact that you need to work hard to get the result.
  • The ability to find a way out of a situation. When something does not work out, the baby will complain to you. You have to show him that problems can be solved in different ways. Does the snowman's head not hold? Put her on a match. So the baby from an early age will get used to looking for a way out of the situation.
  • Creative thinking. Modeling is a creative process. And let the snail have one antennae, and the ball is more like a potato. According to the teachings of Mrs. Montessori, just help the baby do everything himself.

When modeling, you should take into account the age and wishes of the baby, since children at 1, 2 or 3 years old have different interests and opportunities, and in order for the child to be satisfied, you need to properly prepare to create children's masterpieces.

Training

Here's what you need to start the sculpting process:

  • a wish;
  • plasticine;
  • tools;
  • ideas;
  • workplace.

The desire to crush plasticine and create appears in a child almost immediately, as soon as he sees that an object can change its shape at will. Until then, after all, his toys did not change shape. And here - such a miracle! And you can make whatever you want out of it. In the future, modeling from plasticine with children 3-4 years old turns into the creation of missing items for the game.

With plasticine, everything is not so simple, there is now a lot of it, of different hardness and color. Let's take it in order:

  • Ordinary. This plasticine is familiar to you since childhood. For babies from 1 to 3 years old, it is unsuitable - it is painfully hard.
  • Wax. This one will be softer, the palette of colors will be larger, even a two-year-old sculptor can easily handle it.
  • Plant-based. This is modeling paste. There are a lot of colors, soft, supple, even the colors mix almost perfectly. But the parts are not attached to each other well, consider this when buying.
  • Ball. It is easy to mold, the parts are well attached to each other. But the jars with it must be kept closed - in 24 hours in the air it becomes hard and it will no longer be possible to recast it.

There are many other types of plasticine, but for a baby 1-3 years old, this assortment is enough.

When choosing plasticine, take natural shades, make sure that it does not smell of chemistry - this is a sign of poor quality.

Important! A kid in a year and a half will immediately drag new toy into the mouth. With such young children, it is better to start “sculpting from dough”, it is softer, more pliable, and if the child swallows a piece, it’s not scary.

For a 2-year-old baby, plasticine and a modeling board are enough. But at 3 years old, a sculptor needs a tool. For example, a knife for plasticine, a stack, molds. These items are worth stocking up, they are safer than small matches and sharp toothpicks.

Choose schemes according to complexity: from elementary to plot ones. So the kid will not get bored with his occupation. As for the samples, you can check with the child himself: what do you want to mold today? What do you miss for a tea party with dolls or playing with cars?

The workplace plays a huge role in nervous system mothers. Because plasticine is invincible. You will not remove it from the carpet and upholstered furniture, this is unrealistic, especially if the baby carefully rubbed it into the surface. Organize your kid a corner for creativity in a place where there is no upholstered furniture and carpeting. Or at least cover the floor with oilcloth.

Make sure that there is good lighting in the workplace - we do not need vision problems. Over time, and with your help, the baby will learn to put his “office” in order on his own.

Modeling with children from 1 to 2-3 years old

It is not easy to seat one-year-old children for modeling. Shows interest, wants to crush a piece of dough - good. No - try again in a week or a month. By the age of two, using your example, the child should learn simple manipulations:

  • knead a piece of plasticine into a cake;
  • roll a ball with your palms;
  • roll out columns and sausages on the board;
  • make indentations with finger pressure;
  • pinch the edges with two fingers;
  • flatten the ball with fingers or palms;
  • smear plasticine on cardboard or inside the outline of a simple pattern.

Having mastered these simple skills, you can start the real work.

For modeling from plasticine with kids, you can take the following step-by-step photos as a basis:

  • bullseye;

  • lollipop;

  • snail;

  • ladybug.

First, show the baby how you do it, and let him repeat. Help him, correct, if anything - the main thing is that the kid likes the result, and he thinks that he did everything himself.

Ideas for drawing plasticine from template pictures

For modeling from plasticine with kids at 2 years old, an exercise in drawing on cardboard is well suited. Start by simply smearing a piece of plasticine into a sun or a ball. Later you can use templates for drawing.

With a child of 2 years old, you can combine modeling and drawing. This will teach the baby to think about what to do in different situations.

For example, you need to mold feathers in the tail of a peacock:

You can make an application in the form of an aquarium with fish:

Playing in this way, the child will eventually be able to draw according to real patterns. For example:

  • leaf;

  • flower;

  • bunny;

  • fruit.

Show your child how to stretch the plasticine to fill in the outlines. At first, he will crawl out for them, or not fill up to the end, but do not demand from the child the perfect completion of the task the first time. Having gained experience, he will learn how to create real paintings.

How to store plasticine crafts

Plasticine drawings can be glazed in frames and hung on the walls in the nursery - the child will be pleased that you appreciate his work so highly. Plasticine figures can be displayed on glazed shelves, and if you want to keep them for 10 years, put them in small boxes, each separately, and hide in a cool dark place.

It will be pleasant and interesting for an adult guy or girl to look at their children's crafts.
